Scheduling My Apps Background Processes

App Portal periodically initiates processes to detect unused software and to send out email notifications. These background processes are scheduled to run using Microsoft Task Scheduler.

By default the following processes are scheduled to run at 12:00 a.m. each Sunday:

  • App Portal - Process Computers for My Apps Alerts
  • App Portal - Send out My Apps Email Notifications

You can adjust when and how often these processes are run using the Microsoft Task Scheduler on your App Portal web server.
